About Theo

WEIGHT: 11 lbs
COAT: Smooth Coat
COLOR: Black and White
ACTIVITY LEVEL: Active Companion, Sport Competitor

Meet Theo! He is an 8-week-old BC/Kelpie mix, born on Valentines Day 2024; a puppy from the “gemstones” of another BRBCR foster dog, Diamond. Theo is a playful, independent little explorer, and has a voracious appetite. He crates well and sleeps through the night. Theo gets along great with all new dogs, new people, and doesn’t seem to mind cats.

Accidents in the house are *extremely* rare, never happen in the crate, and are always due to my not having gotten him outside in time. Once his paws hit the grass, he toddles around and does his business. Theo has also become something of an escape artist as of late from his indoor pen, which I’ve watched him doing (and it’s always to be with humans, even when said humans are trying to work) and leads me to believe that even at this young age, he could do well at agility or in an active situation. That said, when it’s naptime, he’ll snuggle right up to you, and he sleeps like a champ. “Play hard, sleep hard” comes to mind. In other words, he’s a puppy. A very intelligent one who probably needs an active situation, some companions, and some room to roam. Possibly some very high fences.

If you are interested in adopting Theo, please fill out an application. BRBCR’s approval process includes phone interviews, reference checks, and a home visit prior to meeting a foster dog. Approved applicants must meet at the foster dog’s location. Every adoption begins with a 2-week trial period.

Theo’s adoption fee is $300. Since he is too young to be altered at this time, the Adoption Contract will include a Spay/Neuter Agreement which requires a deposit of $150 (to be refunded when veterinary proof of alteration has been provided).
