Stoney

Meet Stoney! He is an 8-week-old BC/Kelpie mix, born on Valentines Day 2024; a puppy from the “gemstones” of another BRBCR foster dog, Diamond. Stoney is an adorable puppy with an adventurous spirit. In his foster home, he has been hanging out with one of his brothers and three adult Border Collies having a grand old time! He is very sweet and loves everyone he meets. He’s particularly fond of an 11-year-old girl who comes to visit him.

Stoney comes when he is called, loves playing with his toys, and has been learning how to interact with the cats. He’s doing quite well with his house training although his adopter with need to keep him heading in the right direction with that. Stoney is VERY smart and quite food motivated!

Stoney would benefit from having a good-natured dog as a mentor as he grows up. A basic puppy class would be beneficial and his ideal adopter should have some training experience.

If you are interested in adopting Stoney, please fill out an application. BRBCR’s approval process includes phone interviews, reference checks, and a home visit prior to meeting a foster dog. Approved applicants must meet at the foster dog’s location. Every adoption begins with a 2-week trial period.

Stoney’s adoption fee is $300. Since he is too young to be altered at this time, the Adoption Contract will include a Spay/Neuter Agreement which requires a deposit of $150 (to be refunded when veterinary proof of alteration has been provided).
