About Tate

WEIGHT: 11 lbs
COAT: Smooth Coat
COLOR: Tri Colored
ACTIVITY LEVEL: Active Companion, Sport Competitor

Meet Tate! He is an 8-week-old BC/Kelpie mix, born on Valentines Day 2024; a puppy from the “gemstones” of another BRBCR foster dog, Diamond. Tate is playful, a bit of an instigator, and has a voracious appetite. He crates well, and sleeps through the night.

Tate gets along great with all new dogs, new people, and doesn’t seem to mind cats. Accidents in the house are *extremely* rare, never happen in the crate, and are always due to my not having gotten him outside on time. Once his paws hit the grass, he toddles around and does his business, then he’s bouncing on to the next order of business. When it’s naptime, he’ll snuggle right up to you, and he sleeps like a champ. He loves a nap in the sunshine, or one on your chest when you’re reading or watching a movie. He’s not fussy about going out in the rain. He talks a lot in his puppy voice and has really soulful eyes. In other words, he’s a puppy. A very intelligent one who likes to be engaged, either with humans, or other dogs. It’s early days, and I could see him being whatever sort of companion was asked of him.

If you are interested in adopting Tate, please fill out an application. BRBCR’s approval process includes phone interviews, reference checks, and a home visit prior to meeting a foster dog. Approved applicants must meet at the foster dog’s location. Every adoption begins with a 2-week trial period.

Tate’s adoption fee is $300. Since he is too young to be altered at this time, the Adoption Contract will include a Spay/Neuter Agreement which requires a deposit of $150 (to be refunded when veterinary proof of alteration has been provided).
