Meet Brooke!

Brooke is an energetic, people-loving girl ready for her own family. She was a stray, so not much is known about her first year. She is housebroken, crate trained, knows sit, down, and has a pretty good recall. She’s eager to please and follows her foster mom around the house. This girl loves to be petted and does jump up, but she is getting better about it.

Brooke sits nicely with the foster home’s two male BCs for treats and while her meals are being made. There has been some food guarding when the younger male is near her crate when she is eating.

Running is what she loves and makes good use of two fenced in acres but will return as soon as she is called. She can play rough when it gets too exciting, but responds to quiet verbal corrections. She’s very agile also. Inside, she settles or gets a toy to toss around.

Her history with cats is unknown. Older children who know how to treat dogs would be okay, but the jumping up might be a problem around younger children. Brooke likes having dog pals, but would most likely be okay as an only dog as long as she was given time and attention.

She crates willingly and at times goes in the crate on her own. She has been crated in a room on her own for a couple of hours and did fine.

To start the adoption process, please fill out our application and contact Brooke’s foster mom, Debbie, at versatilek9s@gmail.com. All potential adopters are required to have a home visit prior to placement of one of our rescues, and we offer a two-week trial period when you adopt one of our dogs.

Brooke’s adoption fee is $300.

Thank you for considering a rescue dog!
