Meet Striper!

We know, we know THAT’S NOT A BORDER COLLIE! This guy found himself in a very full shelter that was sadly having to make some tough decisions BUT he lucked out finding his wonderful foster mom that just couldn’t say no. Striper was listed as a corgi mix but he has a DNA test pending so hopefully we will get a better idea of what his mix is soon!

Striper is about 2 years old and weighs exactly 61 lbs. He has been wonderful with all of the other dogs and the cats at his foster home! He has been fine around the chickens while supervised. Striper was a star during his vet visit, making friends with staff and other customers alike. He’s been good in the house, sleeping quietly in a crate and rides well in a crate in the car. Striper likes to go on walks and hang out while his foster does chores outside. He is learning basic commands but will probably need a fenced in yard. Striper is treat motivated and eager to learn; he loves to please! Overall, a friendly, good-natured pup!

BRBCR’s approval process includes phone interviews, reference checks, and a home visit prior to meeting a foster dog. Approved applicants must meet at the foster dog’s location. Every adoption begins with a 2-week trial period.

Striper’s adoption fee is $300.
