Meet Sadie!
Hi! My name is Sadie and I am an awesome doggo! Even my foster mom says so. I love everybody and I have not yet met a dog that I did not want to meet, have a good sniff with and maybe a little romp on leash. I am pretty active when outside and I admit that leash training has been a bit of a challenge for me – so many dogs to greet, squirrels to patrol, sniffs to be sniffed, and people for me to try and mooch a treat. I do love playing with other dog buddies and have been known to run for almost an hour straight in the park and boy, am I fast!! I did not like the long curvy tunnel so much at agility class but I like the jumping parts, the balance parts and the short tunnel. My foster mom says that I am the best cuddle bunny in the house and I like giving doggie kisses. I hope to meet you soon!
From Sadie’s foster mom: Sadie is a great dog for anyone looking for a running buddy or a hiking buddy. I have not tried her with frisbee, but she is pretty good chasing a ball. She is not into stuffed toys – she is very adept at de-stuffing them.
As soon as we come into the house, Sadie settles down immediately. Sadie is fully crate trained, house broken and very well behaved in the house. I live in a very urban setting with windows that overlook a street so there is plenty going on outside to keep her attention. She has not met a dog or a person she does not like and is also around kids when outside. I do not have cats so she is not cat tested nor kid tested in the house. You will want to continue working on her leash training because if you are not diligent, she bobs and weaves on leash.
If you are the perfect forever home for Sadie, please fill out an application and contact her foster parents at labulan@gmail.com. BRBCR’s approval process includes phone interviews, reference checks, and a home visit prior to meeting a foster dog. Approved applicants must meet at the foster dog’s location. Every adoption begins with a 2-week trial period.
Sadie’s adoption fee is $300.
