Norma Jean has found her forever family!
Miss Norma Jean is a beautiful, sweet, soft-hearted girl who loves belly-rubs! She has an active Border Collie drive, but she also has a wonderful off-switch when it’s time to relax inside with her family.
Norma Jean has nice indoor manners, is house-trained and crate-trained. She willingly spends time in her crate if the door is left open, or she will find a quiet corner to curl up in if she can’t get in her crate.
Norma Jean has wonderful skills with other dogs. She is appropriately respectful towards her grouchy Terrier foster-sibling, and also plays great with her energetic Border Collie foster-sibling. She would do well if there is another dog in her future forever home, but she would also love to be the one & only center of attention.
This pretty girl knows how to talk! She will tell you if something isn’t right or doesn’t belong. She will tell you when she wants something or if she disagrees with you. Do not apply for this smart conversationalist if you want a silent companion. She will demand that you are a great communicator and an even better listener!
Her soft-heartedness also requires someone who will build her confidence with a positive and encouraging approach. Norma Jean has shown sensitivity to certain loud noises, which her foster parents are working on fun ways to help her overcome this fear. Her forever person will be someone who appreciates her quirks and will use them to create fun, productive activities for her mental and physical needs.
Norma Jean is very food-motivated and enjoys learning new things! She has very nice leash manners, and has enjoyed jumping the agility jumps. She also loves riding in the car and visiting new places. While she hasn’t shown an interest in retrieving a ball, this cute girl does know how to entertain herself with her toys by tossing them up in the air.
Norma Jean’s future home will need to have a fenced yard, as she has a high prey-drive for small animals, like squirrels.
