Meet Mauli!
Mauli (we were told means “heart” in Hawaiian) joined her foster back in July after being surrendered to BRBCR. Mauli’s dad passed away and her mom was not able to care for her. She was having health issues, kept losing weight, and they couldn’t figure out what was wrong with her. Mauli’s foster mom stepped up, took her to the vet, and finally figured out what was going on with her! When her foster met her she was so skinny and it turns out she has a pancreatic enzyme insufficiency – she was starving! She is now on replacement enzymes (will need these for life) and has gained over 10lbs! Mauli is finally healthy enough to find her family! Her foster has worked so hard to get her healthy and has been teaching her all about manners!
Mauli does well with all people, is great with other dogs, and even does well with cats. She does not do well with small animals such as chickens and ducks and would do best with kids 10+. Mauli is crate and house trained and needs a home with a fenced in yard. She is up-to-date on vaccinations and is spayed. Mauli would love a home that will continue to teach her fun things and where she can be a loved companion!
If you are the perfect forever home for Mauli, please fill out an application and contact her foster parents at faithandquest2@gmail.com. BRBCR’s approval process includes phone interviews, reference checks, and a home visit prior to meeting a foster dog. Approved applicants must meet at the foster dog’s location. Every adoption begins with a 2-week trial period.
Mauli’s adoption fee is $300.
