Meet Carlie!

Around our house, we refer to Carlie as the “grand dame”. While she may be 9 years old, this sweet lady has got a lot of spring in her step!! She loves to bounce around you when outside but is perfectly polite in that she is very careful to bounce near you and not on you. She was diagnosed several years ago with a mild heart murmur, but from what we can tell it has not slowed her down one bit!

While here at her foster home, Carlie has (much to her chagrin) been on a bit of a diet to get a few extra pounds off. Some foods make her itch…so keeping her on a quality food that agrees with her is very important. Fleas make her very itchy, so preventatives are critical. She is easy to groom, and loves being combed and brushed. Toenails are no problem when there are yummy cookies involved!

Carlie gets along well with other dogs after appropriate introductions. She has been observed around chickens and cats as well, and cares not one iota about them. Her focus is always on her human, except for the occasional good back scratching roll in the grass.

If you are looking for a 100% devoted-to-you, follow you everywhere, woo-woo at you when you get home, snuggle with you, play with you, hang out on the couch/watch tv with you, come when called dog…she is it!

BRBCR’s approval process includes phone interviews, reference checks, and a home visit prior to meeting a foster dog. Approved applicants must meet at the foster dog’s location. Every adoption begins with a 2-week trial period.

Carlie’s adoption fee is $350.
