Dixie (Angel)

Dixie was the love of our family’s life! She was a sweet, loyal, intelligent, and loving companion! . She was almost 4 years old, scared, and reluctant to eat when BRBCR rescued her from a kill shelter. Her foster mother was an amazing woman who cared for Dixie, helped us navigate the adoption process, and assisted with her transition into our home. We will forever be grateful for our time with Dixie’s beautiful spirit! She recently passed – every day is hard, but some days are harder than others. She is everywhere and nowhere at the same time. Today would have been her 15th birthday (she was born on 10-10-10). We wanted to honor the day by remembering Dixie and thanking your wonderful organization for the work you do!
