Meet Tucker – Your Loyal, Loving Companion
Tucker is an old soul with a heart full of love. Gentle, kind, and always ready with a wagging tail and a big smile, he’s the kind of dog who will melt your heart the moment you walk through the door. His whole body trembles with joy when you come home, and his favorite place in the world is right by your side.
This sweet boy loves to cuddle—whether you’re curled up with a good book or binge-watching your favorite show, Tucker will be your loyal couch buddy. But don’t let his calm demeanor fool you! When playtime starts, Tucker can keep up with the best of them. He’s fast, agile, and loves romping around with his foster family’s other dogs, including a Border Collie and a German Shepherd.
Tucker is dog-friendly (both male and female) and does well with cats. He should be leashed around smaller livestock like chickens or rabbits, as his herding instincts can kick in. Though he may be a bit shy when meeting new people, once Tucker knows you, you are forever his. He forms deep, lasting bonds with his humans and will be a devoted companion.
What Tucker Needs:
Tucker does not like crates, likely due to past trauma. His foster family has been working gently with him every day, and he is learning that the crate can be a safe place— especially when there’s cheese involved! He now enters willingly with a little encouragement. In vehicles, he still needs to be picked up to get into a crate.
He’s not a big barker, but he’ll alert you if something’s out of the ordinary—like a strange vehicle or an unfamiliar visitor on your property. Tucker walks well on leash, knows how to sit, and takes treats gently from your hand.

BRBCR’s approval process includes phone interviews, reference checks, and a home visit prior to meeting a foster dog. Approved applicants must meet at the foster dog’s location. Every adoption begins with a 2-week trial period.
Tucker’s adoption fee is $350.
