Meet Tobias!

Tobias is an adorable border collie mix that is ready to join your family! He is great with kids, other dogs, and is also good with cats! Toby is house and crate trained; he is very smart, learns quickly, wants to please his people! Toby is very active – loves to run and play! Even though it doesn’t seem that he has had any formal training, he has been working on a good recall, knows “No”, “Get in” his crate, doesn’t jump on people, and walks on leash with no pulling!

Toby LOVES to play with a JollyBall that has lost its handle. He and his brother enjoy playing tug with it. Toby always wins! However, he shows NO signs of resource guarding. He will happily fetch it, and bring it back to his foster’s feet and drop it. Toby sleeps quietly in his crate, however, he does tend to bark and cry if his foster goes outside and he is left behind. We’re working on that! He could possibly be a candidate for sport or search and retrieve activities. He’s a lot of fun and very pleasant to be around. However, he is still very much a work in progress. Definitely high potential!

A fenced yard is recommended, but not an absolute requirement.

BRBCR’s approval process includes phone interviews, reference checks, and a home visit prior to meeting a foster dog. Approved applicants must meet at the foster dog’s location. Every adoption begins with a 2-week trial period.

Tobias’ adoption fee is $350.
