Meet Porter – Your New Adventure Buddy!

Porter is a fun-loving, active boy with a zest for life and a heart full of love! This Border Collie/German Shepherd mix has a friendly demeanor, an eagerness to please, and a big soft spot for treats.

Porter’s highly food-motivated and will quickly sit if he thinks there’s a snack coming his way. While his enthusiasm can make it hard for him to stay still sometimes, he’s learning every day! Porter came into foster care without any basic training, but he’s catching on fast—he now knows how to sit on command and is working on “down” and “spin.” He’ll even go to the door and sit when he needs to go out, and he’s happy to go into his crate when asked. He came to us with zero training or manners but is young and learning quickly! With continued guidance, this sweet guy has endless potential.

Porter loves to play with his housemates, gets along great with new dogs, and is okay with cats too. After a fun-filled day, he enjoys cuddling up for a quiet moment with his people.

BRBCR’s approval process includes phone interviews, reference checks, and a home visit prior to meeting a foster dog. Approved applicants must meet at the foster dog’s location. Every adoption begins with a 2-week trial period.

Porter’s adoption fee is $350.
