Meet Neptune!

Neptune, affectionately known as Tuna, is a very happy, friendly, and active dog! Tuna gets along great with other dogs, cats, and can even be around chickens! He would do well in a home with older children.

Tuna probably didn’t have much, if any, experience living inside a house before coming to his foster home in mid-July. He wants nothing more than to please his person and picks up on new things every day! Tuna is very smart and is getting better every day about eating and sleeping in a crate, walking nicely on a leash, not jumping up on people, and just basic good manners. He is a very apt student! Tuna has a reasonably good recall, but a fenced yard is highly recommended.

Tuna loves playing fetch; toys are so fun! He loves to play and splash in a water tub on hot day and could probably learn to enjoy swimming in a pond. He is athletic, confident, and loves to jump. He may be a good candidate for agility or other sports! Tuna is NOT suited for a life of two leisurely walks a day; he needs more activities. He may even make a nice hiking buddy for someone that likes to hit the trails!

BRBCR’s approval process includes phone interviews, reference checks, and a home visit prior to meeting a foster dog. Approved applicants must meet at the foster dog’s location. Every adoption begins with a 2-week trial period.

Neptune’s adoption fee is $300.
