Meet Mochi!

Mochi is a very sweet boy! He would do well as an active, very active, or even sport companion, with the right motivation and training. He is both dog friendly and human friendly as well; he can, and will, also be neutral to other dogs when needed. Mochi has high to medium food drive and medium toy drive. He enjoys training for his meals. Mochi is very good in the crate as well, with a few barks here and there at home. He is doing well potty training and is very clean in the crate.

Mochi does have some resource guarding that an adopter would need to be aware of to manage. With management he has been doing well. He does bark in the crate if in an excitable environment (my agility facility with other dogs running around). He has quite the nose and enjoys sniffing and that can become the most valuable thing to him so I have been working on building value for recalls out of sniffing around as well (when asked). He can excitedly hump other dogs, and takes corrections by other dogs well and will back off. He is interested in cars on walks but can easily be redirected and now is automatically redirecting attention to me a lot.

Overall, he is a very sweet boy that would be a great companion for someone who is active and can provide him with the physical and mental stimulation he needs!

BRBCR’s approval process includes phone interviews, reference checks, and a home visit prior to meeting a foster dog. Approved applicants must meet at the foster dog’s location. Every adoption begins with a 2-week trial period.

Mochi’s adoption fee is $300.
