Meet Lexie!

Meet Lexie, a joyful 10-month-old spayed Border Collie mix who is ready to find her forever home. Born on September 11, 2025, Lexie is still very much a puppy, with all the curiosity, energy, and sweetness that comes with it. Lexie is a happy, playful girl who loves being with her people and is eager to please. She gets along well with other dogs and cats, though her experience with children is unknown. She is curious, bouncy, and always ready for her next adventure.

Lexie has plenty of puppy energy and needs room to run, play, and explore. Her ideal home will have a large fenced yard where she can safely burn off energy. She is not a good fit for an apartment, townhouse, or home with a small yard. One of Lexie’s greatest joys is water play. Whether it comes from a hose, splash pad, or kiddie pool, Lexie loves to splash and have fun. She does not know how to swim, so she should always be supervised around deeper water.

Lexie already knows “sit” and is working on “wait,” “crate,” and coming when called. She walks well on a leash and is house trained. Like all young dogs, she will need continued, consistent training, structure, and fun activities to help her grow into a confident, well-mannered adult dog. Her grooming is best managed with daily brushing.

Lexie would do best with an active family who has the time, patience, space, and energy to keep up with her. If you are looking for a fun-loving, affectionate puppy and have room in your home and heart for an energetic young dog, Lexie may be the perfect match for you.

BRBCR’s approval process includes phone interviews, reference checks, and a home visit prior to meeting a foster dog. Approved applicants must meet at the foster dog’s location. Every adoption begins with a 2-week trial period.

Lexie’s adoption fee is $350.
