Meet Banner!
Banner with the good manners! Ban Man, Bananer, Ban, Ba-nan, Banana, he responds to them all! This handsome man is as sweet as they come! Banner is turning out to be one of those go anywhere, do anything dogs. As long as he is with his people, he’s game!
Banner isn’t your typical drivey, go go go, border collie. Want to sleep in on the weekend? He’s game! Want to order take-out and watch Netflix? Banner is all in! Now that doesn’t mean he’s a couch potato. Banner needs exercise and play time! He gets zoomies inside and is having a blast chasing his foster siblings in the yard – one of his favorite things to do! He enjoys a good squeaky toy, loves flopping and rolling around on the floor, couch, and bed, and loves destuffing the stuffies. Banner is definitely considered an active companion (both words stressed!).
Banner’s upbringing is a little unknown. He was surrendered with a couple other dogs and didn’t have any training. Seriously, he didn’t even know his name! Since coming to his foster he’s learning his name and has been crushing his recall! Sit and down are still being worked on but haven’t taken priority over his name and recall. Banner does well on leash for long walks!
Ideally, Banner would be someone’s active buddy (walks, running partner, weekend warrior). Another active, playful dog is required as he seems to thrive with that interaction. He does not need a fenced-in yard but a home with a yard would be best (apartments/condos/townhomes wouldn’t work for him). Banner is house and crate trained, up to date on shots, and was recently neutered.

If you are the perfect forever home for Banner, please fill out an application and contact his foster parents at meganstahlnecker@yahoo.com. BRBCR’s approval process includes phone interviews, reference checks, and a home visit prior to meeting a foster dog. Approved applicants must meet at the foster dog’s location. Every adoption begins with a 2-week trial period.
Banner’s adoption fee is $350.
