Meet Devon!

Devon is a sweet, friendly, active, 1-year-old Border Collie with a heart full of joy and energy. This happy, playful boy thrives on interaction with people and/or with other dogs. He’s a natural at getting doggy playmates to chase him, and he absolutely loves the fun of having toys to chew!

Devon is very food motivated and will eagerly jump into his crate if he thinks there’s a treat involved. Indoors, he’s quiet and learning to be calm and outdoors he’ll give an alert bark if a stranger approaches — then rush right over to greet them with a wagging tail! Devon’s enthusiasm for life makes it a bit hard for him to stay still at times, especially when it’s time to put on a leash, but he’s learning! He’ll sit politely before heading out the door if you ask.

This affectionate boy enjoys being petted and is perfectly fine with brushing, bathing, nail trims, and car rides. He arrived at his foster home full of fleas and had a flea allergy that caused hair loss, but now that he’s on flea and tick prevention, his coat is growing back fast.

Devon is an active, joyful companion dog looking for a home that appreciates his zest for life and can help him continue learning good manners. He has the potential to be a gem with a wagging tail and a whole lot of love to give!

BRBCR’s approval process includes phone interviews, reference checks, and a home visit prior to meeting a foster dog. Approved applicants must meet at the foster dog’s location. Every adoption begins with a 2-week trial period.

Devon’s adoption fee is $350.
