Meet Blaze!

Blaze might be the sweetest border collie you’ve ever met! He has those soft, loving eyes that look up at you and makes you want to love him, pet him, and take him home with you. He loves to be loved on, accepts hugs and kisses, but isn’t a needy boy.Blaze just turned 2 years old. He’s still a leggy boy that still has some maturing and filling out to do. He’s at that great age between 2 & 3, where he’s matured enough to be a great dog, yet he’s still ready to learn. He wants to be with you or at least in the same room. He’s good with other dogs, but doesn’t need to have a dog buddy.

Blaze does things that will make you laugh. At his foster home, he has his own toy basket and will pick out toys to play with, toss them in the air, and sometimes, he even puts them back! He’s a good boy – he has been excellent in the house.

Blaze loves to get outside for a short time and stretch his legs. When you’re ready to bring him inside, he’s more than ready, too. He has a border collie playmate here that he loves to ‘work’, where he follows her with his border collie readiness to keep up with her.

Blaze is noise sensitive. Gun shots, fireworks, and loud noises when he’s outside seem to make him worry. He’ll quit what he’s doing, and go lay down at the back door so he can come inside. He doesn’t panic, doesn’t dig, doesn’t try to get out of his yard, or destroy things, he just wants to be inside.

Blaze is a quiet dog. If you do hear him bark, it’s only one bark – which means he needs to go outside. He’s fine with being crated, if necessary, and sleeps quietly in his crate at night. He’s had no accidents here in his foster home.

Blaze has been a picky eater, but since he has been neutered, he’s eating much better. Blaze is up to date on shots, neutered, on heartworm preventative, and flea/tick preventative.

If you are the perfect forever home for Blaze, please fill out an application and contact his foster sylviaspets@aol.com. Every adoption begins with a 2-week trial period.
Blaze’s adoption fee is $300.
