Monty has lost the home that he had since he was a puppy and is desperately looking for a patient adopter with a quiet home to help him adjust. He is slowly adjusting in his foster home but is uncomfortable around the multiple dogs and high activity level.
Monty has been a house dog his entire life. He is housebroken, crate trained and obedience trained. His house manners are impeccable. He needs an adult home, preferably one where he's the only pet.
His temperament is on the shy side. He has not been exposed to children so probably would be uncomfortable around them. Though he's in a foster home with other dogs he generally tries to avoid them. He also seems fearful around the cats. If a dog or cat approaches him too closely he will growl and snap at them so really would do best as an only pet.
Monty has been friendly to the people he's met with his foster mom. He still needs some work on his leash behavior but is getting better. He looks forward to his walks and enjoys his car rides. His former owner brought his toys but he hasn't been comfortable enough to really play with them.
If you have the love and patience to give Monty a new chance at happiness please call Karin, 540-272-0470, or email firstname.lastname@example.org. All potential adopters are required to have a home visit prior to placement of one of our rescues. Monty's adoption fee is $300, and we offer a two-week trial period when you adopt one of our dogs.
Thank you for considering a rescue!
