Beep is a fun-loving, sweet boy with lots of energy, yet he is very well behaved in the house. He's smart and knows lots of tricks. He's very biddable, so he will do anything you ask him. He's very food motivated and will eat anything. He loves to do tricks for treats. Beep is a big goofy sweetheart of a dog.
Beep was originally trained to be a herding dog, but he just doesn't have the talent. He tries very hard to do everything right, but when the sheep get in a corner, he gets so excited that he goes in and bites them. He's a very obedient dog and just happy to be doing something with his owner.
Beep wants to be with loved and with his owner. He's a silly boy and still bounces around when outside. He does get car sick, but if you withhold food and give him a dramamine 30 minutes before traveling, he does O.K.
Beep is housebroken and crate trained. He will "go" on command and even knows a trick called "Lift your leg" so he fakes "going". It's a fun trick when you're around friends. He knows how to wave, give his paw, sit, stand, lie down, stand, back up and other tricks as well. He's easy to train and loves to be trained. He loves getting rewards and will easily eat too much, if given the chance.
Beep is a submissive guy. He gets along with all dogs - he is a little uncomfortable if a strange dog runs up to his face. He will usually retreat. He has not been around cats.
Beep had his hips x-rayed when he was around a year old. The vet said they are a little on the loose side, so keep him fit and exercised. He hasn't ever had any problems. He will enjoy a game of fetch inside and outside. He stays busy when he's outside and for the most part, exercises himself.
Beep must have a fenced yard so he stays muscled up. He must not be allowed to go overweight. He is kept on glucosamine daily as a preventative. He's a wonderful dog and otherwise in perfect health... he needs to stay that way. Beep needs to be an inside dog and adopter must have a fenced yard.
Beep is neutered, up to date on shots, and on heartworm preventative.
