One of the "Boston 9 Puppies", Mercy Warren is a high-energy, high-drive, quick-minded puppy who is constantly looking for something to do or something to chew on. She's always up for a game of chase or tug-of-war. She loves to ambush her littermates, confiscate their toys, and would gobble up everyone's food if she were allowed. She was born to be the Alpha.
If you're looking for a calm cuddle-bug, Mercy is not it. But if you want an active firecracker who seeks your attention and reassurance, Mercy would be the one. She is always on the move, and it is difficult to actually capture anything other than her blur (in photos as well as videos!). Mercy does not have much of an 'off-button', and she has very little use for being a snuggle-bunny. However, she is displaying strong signs of needing constant reassurance from 'HER PERSON'. Whenever we play or go on walks, she repeatedly checks in with her foster mom and quite often needs to jump in her arms, or tangle herself around her ankles, or use her lap to as her home-base while she chews on a chewie. These moments do not last long, but they are very frequent. Mercy will bond very tightly to the person who provides both security and adventure.
Even though she is very driven, Mercy is quite sensitive to verbal correction and is wonderfully responsive with her recall, comes running back with enthusiasm. Due to her strong tendency to herd and nip, Mercy would be best in a home without children.
