Sage is a beautiful girl about 1.5 years old. She is a super sweet girl who loves everyone. She was given to us by a family living in an Amish community because she would not bark at strangers. I have been fostering Sage for almost a month; she is good in the house, listens and comes when I call her. She is smart as a whip, learning very quickly. She is very food motivated. I have not seen a big interest in toys, balls or Frisbees but I think she would learn to love them.
Sage loves to play with my Border Collie and my friend's BC mix who is exactly the same age. She makes her wish to play known, but will back off with dogs who are not interested in horsing around. She would be great with older children. I am not sure yet about cats.
Sage loves to cuddle and have her belly rubbed. She has learned to sit and down for food. She is housebroken.
Because Sage was raised in a very rural area, without traffic and such, therefore, she is a bit fearful of cars, especially at night with their lights on. I have not put any time in fixing this – I think it would be easy to fix if her 'forever' home isn't rural.
Sage is spayed and up to date on vaccinations and preventatives. She did test Lyme positive, and is almost finished with the medication.
Thank you for considering a rescue!
