This petite lady is a well rounded, happy girl who would love to find a new home with a canine friend to wrestle and where she'll get plenty of attention from her humans. She's 30 pounds of playful puppy energy who comes already potty trained, through with the chewing stage given plenty of toys, and food motivated making her a quick study in learning new commands.
Luna has a short coat which is easy to care for and keep clean. She loves chew toys and playing with the other two dogs at her foster house. She is submissive with the one that likes to have his space and will wrestle with the playful one all throughout the day. In the morning she has typical puppy energy but given a walk and some playtime she can settle down in the house. Although she needs to burn off energy in the morning and evening she isn't the high intensity dog sometimes seen in the breed.
She walks well on the leash and rides well in the car. At the dog park she likes to hang by her foster mom and take in the scene if it's a busy day, eventually choosing a playmate to chase. She's been on walks at the river and tested off leash in short spurts. When off leash she seems to want to stay with the other dogs and people.
Since coming into her foster home she has been fed meals in her crate and now goes in without hesitation. She has a good appetite and sleeps well in her crate throughout the night. She will whine a little if left in her crate when activity and noise is happening elsewhere in the house but even that has started to become less frequent.
Luna's personality leans toward goofy and playful. A puppy training class would be a great way to bond with her new family and keep instilling good manners. She isn't shy with new people and will happily wiggle up to anyone to say hello. She is a little mouthy still, nibbling on fingers and toes. It's pretty normal puppy behavior but it is something we're still working on.
Luna is looking forward to joining a loving home.
