Meet Miss Apple Cyder!

Cyder is a young 15 year old girl that still has lots of life and lots of love to give. Cyder just loves attention...like being brushed and petted. She's crazy about treats and food. She's easy...she'll fall in love with you as long as you keep giving her treats.

One of the games that Cyder likes is for you to hide treats around the room or outside in the yard. She will sniff them out. Cyder also likes to go for short walks - a block or so and she's ready to turn around go back to the air conditioning. She certainly doesn't require much exercise, going out several times a day for her 'potty' time is good enough, but I'm sure a short walk is refreshing and good for everyone.

Cyder also likes toys-special toys-toys that you can stuff with her dog kibble or even better.. treats!!!

OK...So we do have to face the fact that Cyder is 15. She doesn't hear well, when going outside, she needs a leash on unless you have a fenced yard. She doesn't 'run', so you certainly could catch her if she wandered off, but you just can't leave her outside unattended unless she's in a fenced yard.

Cyder also doesn't see as well as she used to when she was younger. She gets around well. Click HERE to see a short video of Cyder.

Cyder is housebroken and crate trained. Although, you don't need to crate her. If she drinks lots of water, she needs to go outside soon. If you take her outside last thing at night, and first thing in the a.m., she has been able to hold it all night.

Cyder is fine with other dogs and cats. She pretty much ignores them. She's a smart girl! She doesn't want to get in their way because she doesn't want to get knocked over.

Cyder shows a little arthritis in one back leg. She gets around fine.

To start the adoption process, please fill out an application and then contact her foster mom, Sylvia at Sylviaspets@aol.com. All potential adopters are required to have a home visit prior to placement of one of our rescues. Cyder's adoption fee is $300, and we offer a two-week trial period when you adopt one of our dogs.

Thank you for considering a rescue!
