Meet Gypsy!

Miss Gypsy will wag her whole body when you say her name once she knows that you will be her best buddy. She is full of life, sweet, and a happy dog. She can be a shy and standoffish when you first meet her but she warms up once you earn her trust.

Gypsy lived on an Amish Farm in Southern VA and the farmer wanted to place Gypsy as they did not have time for her. BRBCR had already rescued a litter of puppies Gypsy had a few months back who were adorable and now we have the pleasure of placing their sweet Mom.

Gypsy is very smart, she loves most other dogs, and is good with her foster Mom's cat. She and the cat will give a chase every so often but all in play. She has been on a few field trips to Dog Agility Trials, Pet Stores ,and Lowes Hardware Store. She loves to go for walks and walks very well on a leash. She is learning sit, and down, and is an expert about going into he crate when asked. Her Foster Mom is gone from the house for periods of 7-8 hours w/ a pet sitter that comes in for mid-day play and potty breaks. During this time Gypsy is crated in the family room with the resident dogs.

She has not had any accidents in the house. She bonds quickly, and she would benefit from a basic obedience class for bonding, confidence, and socialization. I bet she would be the star student. In the evenings, she will lay on the dog bed and chew a bone and she is learning about playing with a toys. She is one of the easiest fosters I have had over the years.

Gypsy's ideal home would be one with a fenced yard for her to play. She would do very well with another friendly confident dog friend and/or Cat friend. Her foster Mom has 3 male BCs and she gets along with them very well. She would be fine with children over the age of 10.

If you are interested in Gypsy, please contact Joann at jmtowns@aol.com. All potential adopters are required to have a home visit prior to placement of one of our rescues. Gypsy's adoption fee is $300, and we offer a two-week trial period when you adopt one of our dogs.

Thank you for considering a rescue!
