Lily is a very sweet, smart and friendly puppy. She is one of a litter of four that was born in April 2017. Lily loves every person that she meets, and has been very socialized for a puppy her age! Lily and her three other siblings were left at a shelter overnight, so her parents are not known, but she is thought to be a Border Collie mix.
Lily will most likely grow to be a friendly, yet dominant dog. She is already showing signs that she is fearless, especially when it comes to playing with her foster siblings who are more than twice her size! Lily is very smart and has a great memory. She listens very well and follows the pack! She will make for a wonderful family dog, and would also be a great hiking and adventure companion. Lily's foster mom, Lindsey, is working on commands and house training. She is crate trained already, and will happily go into her crate at night and when her foster mom has to leave the house. After the first night in the foster home, she didn't even cry in her crate before bedtime! She is definitely comfortable being in a crate at night and during the day.
Lily should grow into a typical high energy Border Collie mix who needs her forever family to give her plenty of exercise and training. She loves people and would do very well with a family. She has not been cat trained as of yet, but I would believe that she would do very well in a home with dog-friendly cats.
Lily and her siblings were positive for parvo, but they are now in recovery! Lily is a healthy puppy who has passed the four week recovery mark and is parvo-free!
To start the adoption process, please fill out an application and then contact Lindsey Diamond at firstname.lastname@example.org. All potential adopters are required to have a home inspection prior to placement of one of our rescues. The BRBCR adoption fee is $300, and we offer a 2-week trial period. Lily is too young to be spayed at this time, so we will require a spay/neuter deposit of $150 (refundable upon veterinary proof of spay).
Thank you for considering a rescue!
